Larsen Tribute to Jens Reidar 90th Anniversary Cognac is an expressive, elegant, fruity Cognac that combines vanilla flavor, marmalade, mature fruits and touch of oaky aromas and spices with a smooth and long finish.
90 years of elegance, passion and adventure
Jens Reidar Larsen who had always dreamed of exploring the world founded Larsen Cognac House in 1926.
In 1919, at the age of 24, Jens Reidar Larsen left Norway and embarked for a freighter bound for America. The boat turned out to be in need of some serious repairs and a long stopover in Bordeaux changed young Larsen’s life forever.
Determined to earn a bit of money before continuing his travels, he ventured north to Cognac, which soon became Jens Reidar Larsen’s home – not least on account of a certain young French woman.
Soon Larsen developed a real passion for Cognac and became a Cognac expert, gleaning well-guarded secrets from the region’s producers and unearthing some incredible treasures along the way. He put this experience into practice in 1926 by founding Larsen Cognac House.
Based on fruit expression, purity and elegance, Reidar’s style was and still is unique in Cognac. The house of Larsen carries on its founder’s spirit of adventure and still uses his blend, which has remained a secret to this day.
