Colour: Dark Amber.
About : In 1996 Francois Voyer won a Gold Medal at the Segonzac Competition (Capital If the Grand Champagne 1st Cru) for its eaux-de-vie aged more than 50 years old. As a result we created a limited series of 196 bottles called Lot N°5 to celebrate the quality of our old cognacs. Since then we have created Lot N°6 of only 202 bottles and now Lot N°7.
Bouquet : Crafted from a fusion of very old eaux-de-vie, including some from Voyer’s ‘paradise’ cellar, this is a thoroughbred cognac and limited to only 142 bottles. Within this pellucid amber liquid you will find a delicate blend of cedar wood, wax and Narcissus flowers.
Taste : The initial taste is amenable, spicy and sensual, evolving, quite unexpectedly, into an intense explosion of flavors like cedar wood, nutmeg and licorice with a long finish on the palate. It is a noble work of the Cellar Masters art that Voyer is delighted to share with you
How to Enjoy : You must not hurry a cognac who's age is measured in half centuries! Pour it and let it stand for a quarter of an hour before you taste it. Sip it slowly and let the bouquet and flavors unfold and develop on your palate. Taste the passing of the years in the warm cocoon of the ancient oak barrel, in the darkness of the cellar.
